The works in this gallery are documentation by the artist-curator. This exhibition was shown in the Atrium Gallery at 230 Fenway in Boston, from August 2025 to September 2025.
The exhibition description, written by the artist-curator, is as follows...
"This is a show for those who question. For intersectional feminists, people with religious trauma, survivors of abuse, horny motherfuckers, intellectuals, and anyone who does not know what to do with their uncouth thoughts. Directed by the feminist language of visual culture introduced in Bettina Papenburg and Marta Zarzycka’s anthology Carnal Aesthetics, Hands, Nails, Seeds brings together ten artists who share the motivation to face uncomfortable or forbidden topics and lay their findings bare before an audience. It is dirty, challenging, and, often, unrewarding work. The works by Peyton Bailey, CJ Daly, DBCO, Alexia DellaPorta, Richard Farrell, Lindsey Filowitz, Amina Meckel-Sam, Mia Rodriguez, Daniel Rumsey, Megan Weeda, and Mijung Yun are on view here, in all of their bloody sensuality, defiant passion, and vigorous, undying hope. May the anger and yearning guide you."
